I consider Bullseye just a fine old "standard" for general-purpose/light loads for revolver cartridges. I was getting into IPSC @ that time & on night matches we noticed much reduced muzzle flash (an advantage). 3/BE today when using wadcutters. The new stuff is a lot cleaner than it used to be. Most accurate load I ever found for. Ruger Police Service Six; 4" bbl-. The powders that Im looking at for my purposes (probably a 110gr JHP at the highest velocity possible out of a 2" barrel) are CFE Pistol, Longshot, IMR Target, IMR Red, IMR Blue, Winchester 244, or and any other powder that will give me a higher velocity. Add Red Dot and Bullseye. Used Blue Dot and Power Pistol for HV loads (flame thower effect, will scare away bad guys!! 38 Spl is very forgiving. It is flash suppressed.
