MFW has enough depth to it that my child has learned and grown even in the year that we did a MFW curriculum that wasn't our favorite. Sonlight has great readers so I still throw those in the book basket at times. SL is a great company and their choices of books are top notch. We don't generally read like that. Did I miss the family read aloud books? When you're putting that much money down on books, you want to enjoy them over and over, not cringe as you read them. Not curriculum, but tells you how to incorporate these subjects into everyday life. As children get older, there are 7th and 8th grade supplements that help you match your child's needs.
