The film's greatest strength -- its randomness and originality -- may also be its biggest weakness. The first 2/3 of the movie were extremely funny, while the last 1/3 changed it's tone to action/adventure. List includes: Hancock, Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, I Love You, Man, Pineapple Express. It was never established that the whole town has been eating his father's sardines, nor it has been shown that Flint was made to eat the sardines. The characters are great and there is a lot of humor throughout. I do have a feeling, however, that with repeat viewings, I'll be able to appreciate such an outcome, but upon first viewing, I was surprised by the sci-fi-ish direction they decided to take it. In the end, Sony does a great job wrapping up Cloudy With A Chance Of Meatballs for fans of the film to take home and enjoy time and time again.

That might have been a bit much for me, but I'm sure the kids loved food flying at them. This is one of my favorite cgi animation movies out there! But my mother loved it and wants it for her collection. Animation takes time, and Lord and Miller couldn't create new characters to try and salvage their version of Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs and not get fired for the second time. The lovable residents of the Hundred Acre Wood -- Winnie the Pooh, Rabbit, Tigger, Eeyore, Kanga and the rest of the pack -- embark on a journey of discovery in search of the elusive Heffalump. Witty, always on the lookout for the expected event and foreshadowing it humorously, with a general lack of angst and forced drama, this wins my heart. The answer, that he must find a mysterious elephant and the magician who will conjure it, sets Peter off on a journey to complete three seemingly impossible tasks that will change the face of his town forever. It starts promisingly, and has some really nice effects, but at some point the plot takes a dive off a cliff. Story: Astronaut Scorch Supernova finds himself caught in a trap when he responds to an SOS from a notoriously dangerous alien planet.
In the end, it is revealed that the aliens weren't vaporizing the people, but rather were bringing them aboard the alien ship to ask the citizens about their missing child. Story: Diego, Manny and Sid return in this sequel to the hit animated movie Ice Age. The animation itself is absolutely incredible. My only complaints are the pacing;some scenes felt rushed so we weren't given as much time as we would've liked to breathe while some towards the end dragged, and the repetition of "I love you son" and such got a tad too mushy. Everyone will enjoy it for sure. Anyway, i really like this movie. The writing duo got creative to keep their jobs. And what we may call "Easter eggs" the delightful treats are in fact easy to grasp. One of the best movie i've ever seen. Cloud With a Chance of Meatballs is a film made for children and as kids films go its ok it's only when you look at as a film do the cracks start to show. Story: The world's most highly qualified crew of archaeologists and explorers is led by historian Milo Thatch as they board the incredible 1, 000-foot submarine Ulysses and head deep into the mysteries of the sea.
A true masterpiece for all ages. Plot: circus, talking animals, lion, penguins, animals, zebra, getting home, family, friendship, unlikely friendships, adventure, giraffe... Time: contemporary, 21st century. Being uppity film-types we'd suggest going right past all the animated stuff to Blue Jasmine, but in all honesty - who can say no to some minions? Story: Captured by smugglers when he was just a hatchling, a macaw named Blu never learned to fly and lives a happily domesticated life in Minnesota with his human friend, Linda. But the film uses it with pure love and joy, which makes it hilarious and entertaining. The children play with the ice cream; they and Flint have a frozen food fight, but the socially inept inventor hits the kids too hard with the dessert balls.
