The secrets and plot twists. Daughter of No Worlds. Long but good there's a book to be read in between. Poppy returns to her room, and reaches out to Kieran through the notam, and they make the decision to run away that night, before things get drawn out by Isbeth even more, and she finds other ways to use Casteel against them. She's clearly messed up, but there are glimmers of complexity in her choices, and in her own twisted mind, she loves her daughters enough to give up her heartmate. I know this review was mostly negative in it's tone. At first Kieran does not trust Malik, but Malik reveals that he's done a lot of things that he didn't want to because Millicent is his heartmate, which is why he's stuck around for so long. She is an amazing heroine. Vonetta is Kieran's sister. The ending of this book actually made me excited for the next one–even though there were also things in this book I disliked. He was the one that almost killed her before she passed out–and he reveals that he couldn't bring himself. Valyn is Casteel's father and joins them shortly after the opening few chapters. But the worst part is that Poppy and crew only escape because Isbeth lets them leave. The Song of the Marked.

Unfollow podcast failed. Great story line but... In their absence, our lives have shifted from decadence and sin to survival and virtue under the guidance of the New Gods. I wish we could've had her training with the generals or even Kieran. I didn't go reading about it as I wanted to avoid spoilers but when I finished, I was really wondering what the problem was! The writing is just so hard to follow, when you do catch up with what's going glung on you have to contend with Cheesy lines and underdeveloped characters. Once Castieel was rescued(2 3rds through) it picked up and the pace quickened. Casey had to die so his kind could live, and it was Theron's duty to bring her in. To say too much more would be spoilers and I do not want to spoil anything for you.
