We ended our hike at the 3rd set of "falls", though they were really small. The trail is a highly used hiking trail and bikes are only allowed in the uphill direction – so be very courteous and always yield. The waterfall is a two-tier waterfall, with the top waterfall pouring into a small pool, then drops in a beautiful cascade over the rocks again down into a larger pool. When walking this trail please keep in mind that during the wet or icy season portions of this trail and the wooden steps to the vantage point can be extremely slippery.
We thought the walk to the dam would take us to the lake but it cuts off and you have to go back up and around, and there isn't a beach area for people to use for the lake. Just don't park in the campground. There are several other lakes nearby, but I wouldn't recommend them if you're looking for the more picturesque locations. Its name translates into "Beacon Peak".
