Since I read The Crown of Gilded Bones earlier this year, I have been in constant suspense of this book's arrival! Many readers ended the book upset with Nyktos, but I did not. They talk about how when Bele returned, there was a shift of power between the Primal and the newly ascended primal, but no one has reason to believe that Bele is a Primal right now. So Sera walks to her bedroom, and then goes through the door adjoining their rooms until she finds Nyktos in the bathing chamber, where he was wiping himself, but his injuries would not heal at all. The Blood and Ash series is an all-time favourite of mine since the release of its first book in 2020, so to say I had high expectations of this book is an understatement.
