I ran my last 1500 MDS up to 64K and had no problems. Filed complaint with Jeep customer service in detroit. And programed That MDS out of is Good. They are not designed that way. From time to time it lurches as the computer figures out to turn it back off. Since it is pretty much a fact that the Hemi has a lubrication deficiency going all the way back to 2009 when the Eagle debuted I would honestly think that start/stop is bad since most wear occurs when an engine is started and doing so multiple times per trip just increases the possibilities of potential cam/lifter problems down the road. Don't buy this truck if you are looking for a new vehicle. What is mds in an engine. Now, I have a lower gear and full V8 power... So unless you have a 2009 or newer you cant disable you MDS....... thats%$&@ing bull#$@! Just when you put it in drive use buttons to set what gear you want to drive in, city I use 4th and it's off.
I might add that I traded in a 2009 Ford F150 wkth a smaller V-8 that never exceeded 18 MPG on any type of trip. I used to get 19-21 on the highway at 70-75 if I get 16-18 at 65-70 I'm lucky.
