You can paddle in comfort in protected waters to the west of New Castle Island, past Portsmouth Harbor Light (which is featured on the current US Postal Service stamps) into Little Harbor for a picnic at Frost Point, then explore Witch Creek and Fairhill Swamp at high tide.
