Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? There was a purpose to the length and it completely sucked me in. By: Elizabeth Vaughan. There is a stipulation with that but I won't tell you. You really needed a score-card to keep up with all the betraying going on. It was long, yes, and hard to read with all the information, but damn, it was worth it!! He was, all in all, well written character.

Her quest is straightforward: Steal a stone from Islor's sacred garden without anyone discovering her true identity, which would earn her certain death. She was a survivor thrown into a whole new society she knew nothing about, and was natural enemies with. He'd touched her, and it was like electric flame -- like the lightning she could summon -- shooting sparks through her veins. The epicness just kept coming and coming and I never wanted it to end. Wynter hopes holding his own child in his arms will rekindle the warmth in his heart before he becomes the monster of Wintercraig legend, the Ice King. As an aside: I'm offended by the cover of this book.
The world-building—Time wasn't wasted describing actual landmasses, so while I may have only had a vague understanding of where Summerlea, Wintercraig, and Calbernan would be located on a map, I did gain knowledge of the other (more important IMO) aspects of the geography. Azarion, the Empire's most famous gladiator, has somehow seen through her illusion - and is set on blackmailing Gilene into using her abilities to help him escape his life of slavery. They really seemed to be made for each other. I hate to admit this, but I was fully prepared to hate Wynter. Now the romance... "Do that again, " she mumbled. C. Wilson is pretty brilliant to come up with this world of fantasy, I must say... Roland's sword, The Ice Heart, Storm.. But the magic has a cost, and the longer Wynter uses it, the higher the price. Almost Didn't Finish... Her sisters are nice like her too, btw. It does have some beautiful world-building and although it is somewhat linear and simple in nature, it is engaging and the sexy times are neither ridiculous nor overly done. Dragged to a treacherous magical land she only knows about from legends, Feyre discovers that her captor is not an animal, but Tamlin - one of the lethal, immortal faeries who once ruled their world. While I enjoyed the first two books of the series, my enthusiasm waned during the third book.
