Took the Metro North train from the marina, north for 40 mins to the Poughkeepsie station and took a 3 mile Uber to the Culinary Institute for a delicious dinner, and loved the stellar campus. Other boaters are always very friendly and helpful. Dockmaster Steve is an absolute hoot! The docks are wooden floating docks, bathrooms and showers are also nice. Another reviewer wrote there were waves inside the is not true! Wifi was slow but ok. The pump out had spewed/shot/erupted and there was a huge amount of waste all over HIM, his decks including the flybridge, as well as all over the dock and in the water. We stayed a week to soak it all in.

Don't be fooled by the pictures showing a pool. Friendly and helpful dockmaster. Floating docks with well maintained pedestals. He is quick to respond to any questions. Cost is a bargain as well. Great location, great docks, amazing staff. Enterprise is just around the corner from us & they will deliver your car right to the marina! We were there for 10 days as we left our boat to go home for a few days. Steve and his crew were terrific. Would stay there again!!!
But everything thing else was very good so felt like the 1star was a little uncalled for. M/V Sunshine State of Mind. When we went, the poor guy in the Bayliner ahead of us was power washing down his deck and shouting. Steve does a great job to assist in any way possible. Laundry: Free pick-up throughout the day for paid laundry services. Absolutely AWESOME!!! Ice was delivered and a welcoming email was sent to us with all the area info (transportation, dining etc. ) He picked us up and took us back to the marina.
Dockmaster Steve was very accommodating and helpful. Stopped here on our way up the Hudson. We rode our bikes into town, had an excellent lunch, and found beautiful produce at Apple Farm. Don't miss visiting the gorgeous waterfalls at the Croton Dam. Steve Dockmaster was most helpful even with a after hours arrival. Steve was super attentive and had a great communication. We will surely stop back by on our way south. Bathrooms were clean. We ended up paying for the season and it was a great decision.
