Yes, it is it's perfectly suited to large bowled pipes as it burns slowly and coolly. Just a quick observation about the soapy taste sometimes reported. The taste is crème de latakia, and under the influence of a good shot of scotch, the taste takes on a number of exotic dimensions, probably due to its Turkish and Cyprian ingredients.
