Though The Winter King is not a slow-burn romance, as I typically prefer, the novel does a great job developing the emotional relationship between the characters over time. Hoping to keep the Summerlea King in line, Wynter demands one of his beloved daughters in marriage. If the Winter King thought to control her, he would find caging the wind an easier task. I'll probably re-read it again sometime later. I must protect my father, even if it means marrying a stranger. She overemphasises every T and before every word beginning with B she does this bizarre, forced, RADAesque infliction.. "mmmmBefore" "mmmmBaby" "mmBear".
