I disabled the drivers side by removing the contacts but I don't really want to do that to the other door. We took off both inside sliding door panels to get a closer look. I found and ordered the new LATCH ASSEMBLY online for $307. Any ideas what I'm dealing with? My mechanic had to break the LATCH ASSEMBLY/LOCK unit in order to get the sliding door open. Tried searching the forum but didn't find this issue already documented. Damaged fuel door hinge: Like all other doors, your fuel door relies on a hinge to help it open and close.
